Dr. Edmond Cleeman
Edmond Cleeman, MD, is a highly experienced and skilled orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Manhattan Orthopedics, with locations in Midtown Manhattan and Astoria, New York. Board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Cleeman is committed to performing advanced minimally invasive procedures that address his patients’ issues and allow them to go home the same day. Dr. Cleeman was featured in New York Magazine’s Best Doctors listing, as well as Castle Connolly Top Doctors. His specialty areas include cutting-edge techniques for relieving shoulder pain, bursitis, tears to the meniscus, ACL, biceps and labrum, dislocated shoulder and rotator cuff issues, and frozen shoulder. Dr. Cleeman studied in New York City and received his undergraduate degree at New York University in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, and his medical degree at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed a surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Cleeman rounded out his postdoctoral training with a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at Nirschl Orthopaedic Center for Sports Medicine in Arlington, Virginia. In addition to his clinic work, Dr. Cleeman serves as an assistant clinical professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and conducts orthopedic research. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Cleeman’s artistry goes well beyond the surgical suite. He’s an accomplished painter whose work has been featured at several art exhibits. In his spare time, Dr. Cleeman enjoys cycling with the New York Cycling Club and has volunteered at the New York City Triathlon. |
